Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Training
Accident investigation is a highly technical, exacting field. Competent investigators need a thorough grounding in several disciplines: mathematics, physics and engineering. CAR's expert training team provides intermediate and advanced courses to produce confident, highly qualified professional investigators.
The Latest Technology and Techniques
Our carefully designed curricula balance fundamental skills review with cutting-edge training on the very latest methods and tools. Students analyze actual crash cases, and are supplied with course projects, notes and resource materials in binders and on CDs to take home. In some courses, we conduct a staged vehicle crash where students must apply classroom learning to a real-world situation.
Professionals Who Know How to Teach
Our instructors are not only active, experienced collision reconstruction investigators, but superior trainers as well. They stay current on new developments in the field, and they carry that knowledge into the classroom. Our courses are intensive and content-rich, so CAR supplies two instructors to teach every one. They employ myriad examples and exercises, ensuring that each student absorbs and understands the material. And all courses are customizable to the unique needs of the agency or audience.
A Course Structure That Works for You

All of our courses are offered both on a contract and tuition basis, at our computer lab or at your own site.

  • Contract Course: Your agency purchases the entire course (inclusive of materials and instructors) for a maximum of 30 students.
  • Tuition Course: Each student pays his or her own tuition. Subject to minimum number of students pre-registered and paid in advance.

Courses taught at the CAR computer lab include computers and all materials needed for the course. Courses taught at your facility require a classroom equipped with a computer for each student as well as an LCD projector (laptop compatible), projector screen, dry-erase or marking board and (for most courses) video cassette player with projector or television.
